Welcome!

My name is Lara. I am a painter, collage artist and curious observer.

From a very early age, I have been obsessed with reading, painting, embroidery and collecting objects. Often my work, gathers ideas and inspiration from Urban and Atlantic textures, botanicals, found objects and everyday snapshots.

My favorite bench is in Washington Square Park, where I love to sit, pass time and observe the craziness and local characters. My favorite stroll is through the grand halls and collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art where I taught children for many years. Or on a quieter day, you might find me combing beaches for rare sea glass, marbles and/or interesting rocks. All which find their way back into my art.
